Keiji Haino ( 灰野敬二 ) - Koko (2003)

| Avant-Garde | Ethereal | Noise Rock |
| Experimental Rock |

Here is another Haino's album (for the previous releases, check out here). Koko is a rare, freely given promo disc that was only available to those who mail-ordered other Keiji Haino CDs directly from PSF-Records between December 24, 2003 and January 31, 2004. Produced in a limited-edition of 300, it’s one of the rarest official Haino releases. Recorded live, with no overdubbing.

The 30min track, "Koko", goes around shimmering electric guitar and delicate, keening vocals, both completely soaked in reverb and delay. The results is a very pleasant record. This will make you feel just like you're flying through clouds (without exagerating). The climax at the end of the track is a huge ball-of-clarity, able to bring tears to anyone's eyes. Imagine this, you went through a 30min cloud, and at the end, you see the sun. There, huge, bright and loud Sun. This is fucking beautiful.

Simply put, Koko is pretty much perfect, all around.
